Product Screen Share

01

Definition

Product screen share is the proportion of a video ad in which the product is clearly visible and readable as the subject rather than as scenery. It is the video counterpart of a static's product focus: across the runtime a viewer actually watches, how much of it shows them the thing being sold.

02

What product screen share means in your creative

Share is read across the sampled timeline: in how many moments is the garment present, framed as the point, and identifiable. Presence is not enough; a dress in a wide shot of a beach is scenery, the same dress filling frame in motion is product. The measure also respects position: product visibility early (while viewership is highest) is worth more than a reveal most viewers never reach.

03

Why screen share matters for fashion and luxury video

Video's storytelling license is fashion's biggest temptation: worlds, moods, journeys, with the garment as a guest appearance. Visibility-intent films can justify low share; conversion and showcase intents cannot. The most common video finding in fashion sets is a beautiful film whose product appears too late and too briefly to sell, and the fix (re-sequencing the reveal) is an edit, not a reshoot.

04

How Veicolo scores product screen share

The Performance Creative Report measures product presence across the video's sampled frames, reports the share qualitatively with timestamped evidence, and judges it against the ad's declared intent. Verdicts distinguish a screen-share problem from a product-focus problem within frames, which have different edits as fixes.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much product screen time should a fashion video ad have?

Enough that a viewer who leaves halfway has still clearly seen what is for sale. Conversion and showcase intents demand more; visibility intent can trade share for world, deliberately.

Does the product need to appear in the first seconds?

For conversion intent, strongly yes: early presence reaches the most viewers. For visibility films, an early glimpse with a later hero moment is a legitimate structure.

My product is in every frame. Why did share score Moderate?

Presence is not readability. If the garment shares every frame with stronger subjects, it is set dressing throughout. Framing decides, not frame count.
